This guide explains how to configure your iPad’s Mail application to access your Brighter Vision webmail account.
This tutorial was created using an iPad Air running iOS 12.3. If you are using different hardware or a different OS version, these instructions may differ.
Setting up email on iPad
1. Click on Settings on your Home screen, as shown here:
2. Tap Passwords & Accounts then tap Add Account, as shown here:
Note: If you’re running iOS10 or older, you will need
to click on Mail or Mail, Contacts, Calendars instead.
3. Select Other, as shown here:
4. Click Add Mail Account, as shown here:
5. Enter your login information, as shown below, then click the blue Next link in the top right corner:
- Name: your name
- Email: your full email address
- Password: your password
- Description: a description for this account
6. Select IMAP, as shown below:
7. Enter the following server settings, as shown below. When you have finished, tap Next.
Incoming Mail Server
- Host Name: host.seosherpas.com
- User Name: your full email address
- Password: your password
Outgoing Mail Server
- Host Name: host.seosherpas.com
- User Name: your full email address
- Password: your password
8. It will then tell you it’s Verifying the account, as shown here:
9. Finally, select On for the Mail setting, then click Save, as shown here:
This should complete your account setup!
Troubleshooting Tip
If you’re having trouble sending email, try again with one of the following alternate Outgoing mail server settings:
Alternate outgoing server #1
- Server Hostname: host.seosherpas.com
- Port: 587
- Encryption method: SSL/TLS
Alternate outgoing server #2
- Server Hostname: host.seosherpas.com
- Port: 25
- Encryption method: SSL/TLS
