This guide explains how to configure your iPhone’s Mail application to access your Brighter Vision webmail account.
This tutorial was created using an iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 12.2. If you are using different hardware or a different OS version, these instructions may differ.
Setting up email on iPhone
1. Click on Settings on your Home screen, as shown here:
2. Click on Passwords & Accounts, as shown here:
Note: If you’re running iOS10 or older, you will need
to click on Mail or Mail, Contacts, Calendars instead.
3. Click on Add Account, as shown here:
4. Select Other, as shown here:
5. Click Add Mail Account, as shown here:
6. Enter your login information, as shown below, then click the blue Next link in the top right corner:
- Name: your name
- Email: your full email address
- Password: your password
- Description: a description for this account
7. Select IMAP and enter the following server settings, as shown below. When you have finished, tap Next.
Incoming Mail Server
- Host Name: host.seosherpas.com
- User Name: your full email address
- Password: your passphrase
Outgoing Mail Server
- Host Name: host.seosherpas.com
- User Name: your full email address
- Password: your passphrase
8. It will then tell you it’s Verifying the account, as shown here:
9. Finally, select On for the Mail setting, then click Save, as shown here:
This should complete your account setup!
Troubleshooting Tip
If you’re having trouble sending email, try again with one of the following alternate Outgoing mail server settings:
Alternate outgoing server #1
- Server Hostname: host.seosherpas.com
- Port: 587
- Encryption method: SSL/TLS
Alternate outgoing server #2
- Server Hostname: host.seosherpas.com
- Port: 25
- Encryption method: SSL/TLS
