Webmail Server & Port Settings

POP3 & IMAP Servers

POP3 & IMAP Servers are used to retrieve your email from Webmail. If your mail application asks you to choose between POP3 or IMAP, we recommend choosing IMAP.

You may also be prompted to enter in a Username and Password. Your Username is your full email address, and the Password is your webmail email’s password.

IMAP Server

  • Server Hostname: mail.b.hostedemail.com or mail.mailconfig.net
  • Port Number: 993
  • SSL: Enabled
IMAP Troubleshooting Tip: The most common issue that people have when configuring IMAP is that the SSL option has not been selected. Check that you have enabled the SSL option in your email program and that you have entered port number 993.

POP3 Server

POP3 access is not recommended but here are the ports:

  • Server Hostname: mail.b.hostedemail.com
  • Port Number: 995
  • SSL: Enabled
POP Troubleshooting Tip: The most common issue that people have when configuring POP is that the SSL option has not been selected. Check that you have enabled the SSL option in your email program and that you have entered port number 995.

SMTP Server

  • Server Hostname: mail.b.hostedemail.com
  • Port: 465
  • SSL: Enabled
SMTP Troubleshooting Tip: If you’re having trouble sending email using the settings above, try again with the following alternate SMTP server settings:

Alternate SMTP Server #1

  • Server Hostname: mail.b.hostedemail.com
  • Port: 587
  • SSL: Enabled

Alternate SMTP Server #2
